Auriscalpium vulgare

A friend at work showed me this awesome find:

Auriscalpium vulgare


It's a toothed mushroom growing on a mushroom of the same species from the previous season that grew from a Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) cone .

Ahh, life's too wonderful :)
